Dramatic diamond shapes represent the higher peaks, bordered by the smaller diamonds of a city park that s home to this magnificent ridge. Mountain trails reward hikers with astonishing views, with some connecting to nearby Helena National Forest. Each year, intrepid hikers and mountain bikers attempt the Helena Ridge Challenge: to visit five iconic ridges—Eddye McClure, Mt. Ascension, Rodney Ridge, Wakina Sky, and Mt. Helena—within 24 hours.
